Lamb Weston / Meijer winner of the Annet Blaauwwiekel Award 2016

Good employment practices at Lamb Weston / Meijer

On the 11th of February 2016 the founder Edith Idoe-Stap handed over the Award to Rinco Boender, Operations Manager at Lamb Weston / Meijer in Kruiningen. This is a yearly award for the employer or person with best practices in a special way related to Cancer and Labor. Working in combination with having cancer is a process that is more than 'normally going back to work again'. Emotions such as fear and uncertainty do influence the daily work, next to the side effects of the treatments. Continuing in doing the job is an important part of the recovery process. Fluently specialized absence guidance and jobs for labor experience are an essential part of continuing the link in the labor and the recovery- and re-integration process. During the period of being ill there can still be the experience of labor, keeping control of the skills and finding the balance in load-bearing capacity.
"Lamb Weston / Meijer acts distinguishably in employment practices by giving direct specialized absence support for their employees having cancer"
